Season Summary 2019/20

Due to the situation we find ourselves in, the uncertain future and the wish not to interfere with clubs’ summer programmes,  it has been decided to finish the 2019/20 season, and not to continue the league / knockout cups when the lock down ends.

a.  The leagues will now finish as they currently stand. The leagues were completed prior to the lock down except for the last round in Division 1.  There will be promotions / relegations as applicable.  The league playoffs will not be played.  League winners and runners up teams will be presented their Cups and plaques at the AGM.

b.   The Knockout Cup competition finals (Finals night) will be cancelled this year.

Division Winners.
Squash Division 1 – Llanfyllin A, Division 2 – Shropshire C, Division 3 – Shrewsbury E.
(Promoted – Shropshire C to Division 1, Shrewsbury E to Division 2).
Racketball – Shropshire SC.
Very well done all division winners.

Squash Relegation.
Wolverhampton A to Division 2. Llanfyllin B (original B team) to Division 3.
(It is not known if these teams will compete next season).

Despite some ups & downs during the season I hope all teams enjoyed the season. Congratulations to all Captains.  The date for the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be confirmed.  The ESRM continues on-line so any suggestions for next season are very welcome.

Shropshire Squash is now fully affiliated with England Squash and clubs need to continue their ES affiliation and ensure their team players have registered ES numbers.
